Chittoor District stood at 1st position in India by constructing 2,77,251 IHHLs during the year 2017-18 and recorded in “Limca Book of Records”.
To reach the ODF+ destination, 1,241 Solid waste processing centers are constructed, which is the highest in India and 15,71,000 dustbins were supplied for door-to-door garbage collection.
To tackle the drought situation in the District, 1 Lakh farm ponds were constructed and District stood at 1st place in the country.
The District stood 1st in the country by adopting Zero Budget Natural Farming on 1,58,000 Hectares.
50,000 Hectares during 2017-18 and 20,000 Hectares during 2018-19 are brought under Horticulture crops and District stood at 1st in National Level.
In 2017-18 covering 31,260 Ha. 33,258 farmers benefited by Drip & Micro Irrigation and Chittoor District stood 1st at the National level. Incurring an expenditure of Rs.267 Cr. by the Government. This year already covered 15,160 Ha.
In the last 2 years, Milk production enhanced from 16 Lakh Mts. to 22 Lakh Mts. and District stood at 1st in the country in Milk production.
2 lakhs Ram Lamb units (4 Sheep as a unit) were grounded under innovative methods only in the Chittoor District in the entire State for meat production.
In the same manner, 7500 units (20 chicks as a unit) were grounded under “Manakodi (NaatuKodi)” for the production of Meat & Eggs.
During this year Rs.1,500 Cr. Bank linkage was disbursed to Self Help Groups and stood 1st in the country.
900 Kms. CC Roads were laid in the District during this year and stood at 1st position in the Country.
210 playgrounds in the Schools provided and District stood 1st in the state.
District stood at 1st position in the state in sanctioning of units to 790 SC/ST & aspirant Women industrialists under the standup India program.
